A short story about us

We are the 4th out of 6 generations of Sturgis' in our little neck of the woods. We had a discussion about a natural spring that feeds the pond on the family farm. It produces and pushes up the finest silt. An idea to use it as a natural exfoliant came to mind which led to an idea of making our own soap. That led to researching for the best homemade soap. Which led us to discovering that Nigerian Dwarf Goats milk has the highest fat content. That milk is the best for making Goat milk soap. Which then led us to purchase our beautiful girls, Kimber & Skyye along with their boyfriend High Caliber. We bred them and welcomed 4 kids at the end of February 2025. After letting the babies have first dibs on the utters. We turned to bottle feeding them and harvesting the milk for the soap making process. And here we are! I know a lot of soap makers/sellers say "saponification" but in full transparency for my products I tell you it is Sodium Hydroxide. You cannot have soap without it. It isn't soap without it. Every product out there, if it is soap has some form of Sodium Hydroxide (Lye). You can't have bubbles and sudsy soapiness without it.

Our Background and Personal Journey

I am a homemaker after being in the corporate world for 30 years. I have Managed Multiple contracts for other people over the years. Now I have the opportunity to work for myself doing something I truly love and enjoy. My Husband is my biggest supporter and cheerleader. I love that we get to start a new chapter together and see where it takes us. We were almost derailed when I received the news that I had Triple Negative Breast Cancer. We are not letting that stop us. It might slow me down but I will still get it done, just takes a little longer. Working on starting our business, making soap, talking with family and friends to get their input and brainstorm ideas has truly been a life saver. They all inspire me to keep moving forward. I am beyond thrilled to share my passion with all of you and my hope is that you love it as much as I do.
